Travel Assistance and Identity Theft Support Services

If you are enrolled in the university's short-term or long-term disability plan through The Hartford, you have a Travel Assistance benefit available that offers you and your family members assistance when you are 100 miles or more away from home. It provides three primary types of assistance when you travel for business or pleasure:

  • Pre-Trip Information (i.e., Visa, Passport, immunization requirements, foreign exchange rates, etc.)
  • Emergency Medical Assistance (i.e., medical referrals, professional medical case managers, medical evacuation, etc.)
  • Emergency Personal Services (i.e., emergency travel arrangements, emergency cash, legal assistance, translation, etc.)

The Hartford also provides identity theft protection support service through Generali Global Assistance, Inc. If you think you are a victim of identity theft, a dedicated caseworker will help you recover and prevent future incidents.
