How the Plans Compare

You have three medical plan options to choose from. Each offers a different level of coverage and associated cost. Your choices may include:

  • An Indemnity Plan,
  • A Point-of-Service (POS) Plan, and
  • A Health Maintenance Organization (HMO).

Network of Providers Allows you to use any provider for any service. In and out-of-network care. Allows you to go in-network or out-of-network every time you need care. In-network care only. You select a primary care physician (PCP) who coordinates all of your care in the network.
Out of Pocket Expenses After the annual deductible has been met, you pay a percentage of the cost of the service received (called "coinsurance"). In-network benefits are higher than out-of-network benefits because in-network providers have agreed to a discounted fee. Most services require a flat co-payment amount at the time care is received.
